Fort Smith Christmas Honors program for veterans seeks volunteers to help clean, store wreaths

After a ceremony honoring veterans, members of the public gathered to lay the rest of the wreaths at the remaining headstones. The wreaths will remain on display until Jan. 5, 2024. FORT SMITH -- A local program is asking for the public's help Friday to clean and store roughly 17,000 wreaths that honored veterans this holiday season at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
