FORT SMITH -- The city is asking the public to help make the city an even better place to walk and bike by participating in one of two community input sessions this week.

A news release from the city said the input sessions will allow residents the opportunity to review maps of the network of trails, side paths, bike lanes and sidewalks proposed in the 2024 Active Transportation Plan.

The plan will identify projects and provide the city with strategic guidance for the next 10-15 years as they build a more walkable, bike-friendly and accessible community.

The sessions are Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club's Stephens Unit, 3101 N. Sixth St., and Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club's Goldtrap Unit, 8800 Dallas St.
